European Investment Advisory Hub
The European Investment Advisory Hub (the Advisory Hub) provides targeted support to identify, prepare, and develop investment projects across the European Union. As part of the Investment Plan for Europe, it is a partnership between the European Investment Bank Group and the European Commission. The Advisory Hub is designed to act as a single access point to various types of advisory and technical assistance services.
The main services available through the Advisory Hub include, among others:
- Project development support throughout the different stages of the project
- Financial advice to enhance companies’ ability to access finance
- Process and methodological guidance and trainings related to investment projects, access to finance and use of EU funds
- Also, The Hub can provide advice on how to set up Investment Platforms
The Advisory Hub provides specific project support both to private and public sector promoters. Its services to public entities are free of charge, while a contribution may be requested from private sector beneficiaries to align interests and ensure ownership of results.
URBIS is an initiative through which the Advisory Hub offers support to urban authorities and private entities. URBIS actively supports the EU Urban Agenda by facilitating, accelerating, and unlocking urban investment projects and programmes.
What is the relevance for Circular Cities?
The contribution of the Advisory Hub can help speed up the circular transition by identifying, improving, and developing circular investment projects. The Hub strongly supports the transition to the circular economy and has expertise available on the topic. As a city government, you can apply for advisory support for the city’s own projects or help innovative companies by pointing them to the Advisory Hub.
Especially URBIS is relevant to circular cities as it prioritises cities that seek support related to an integrated sustainable urban strategy, focussed on developing, financing, and implementing urban investment programmes. As a city government, you can apply for URBIS advisory support for the city’s circular projects.
